About

XAgent is an open-source, experimental LLM-driven agent for general tasks, and its authors describe it as still at an early stage. A planner splits each task into subtasks with milestones, a dispatcher assigns work to agents, and an actor uses tools to complete each step. Its ToolServer runs in a Docker container and provides a file editor, a Python notebook, a web browser, a shell and RapidAPI access. It can be driven from a GUI or a command line, and it can ask the user for help when it runs into difficulty.
