About

Active Agent is a Ruby on Rails framework for AI-powered applications in which agents are structured like controllers with actions that call a generation prompt. Developers add the framework gem plus a provider gem such as openai, anthropic or ollama, run a Rails generator, and define agents with generate_with. The optional actionagent gem adds a mountable dashboard with traces, token usage, evaluations and cost estimates.
