About

Swarm is an educational project built around two ideas: agents that carry instructions and functions, and handoffs that pass a conversation from one agent to another. A run loop gets a completion, executes tool calls, switches agent when a function returns one, and stops when no calls remain. It uses the Chat Completions API, runs mostly on the client and keeps no state between calls. The README says it has been replaced by the OpenAI Agents SDK.
