About

Steel is an open-source browser API that manages browser sessions, pages and processes so agents can browse programmatically. It supports Puppeteer, Playwright and Selenium through CDP, keeps cookies and local storage across requests, and offers page tools such as markdown, screenshots and PDFs. It can be deployed to a cloud provider or run locally with Docker, and Steel Cloud is the managed option.
