# Agentic Core: Stateless LLM Use this skill to keep the model stateless and move system state into explicit runtime components. ## Principles 1. Model calls are pure inference steps. 2. Session state belongs to orchestrator-managed stores. 3. No critical behavior may depend on hidden model memory assumptions. ## Workflow 1. Define required state categories (ephemeral, durable, indexed). 2. Define which component owns each state category. 3. Define retrieval/update contracts per category. 4. Define failure behavior when state is missing or stale. ## Anti-patterns - Prompt transcript as sole system of record. - Implicit reliance on "model remembering" prior turns. - Unbounded context accumulation. ## Required output format 1. **State Taxonomy** 2. **Ownership Matrix** 3. **Retrieval/Update Contracts** 4. **Failure Modes** 5. **Controls** ## Controls checklist - Explicit state owner per data class. - Freshness and invalidation rules. - Unknown state handling without silent fallback.
