# To Email Write email copy that opens, reads, and converts. 1. Read the campaign plan: the key messages, the voice brief, and the goal. The email must serve a key message and drive the goal. 2. Write a subject line under 60 characters that earns the open. A subject that does not earn the open is not a subject. 3. Write a body under 1,000 characters that earns the read. Open with the key message, support it with one proof, and close with the call to action. 4. End with a single, clear call to action. An email with two CTAs has none. 5. Write a preheader that complements the subject, not repeats it. An email that does not drive the campaign goal is not an email. If the CTA is unclear, rewrite it. Record this output in `docs/plans/` using the [doc system](../../plan-mode/references/doc-system.md).
