# Context Engineering

## Goal
Locate and understand all relevant source files, configuration settings, and project conventions before making code modifications.

## Procedure
1. **Search Workspace**: Use file listing and search tools to discover existing conventions, types, and schemas.
2. **Inspect Full File Definitions**: Never guess API signatures or data structures from partial snippets. Read complete definitions.
3. **Trace Control Flow**: Follow execution paths from entry points through handlers, services, and storage layers.
4. **Identify Side Effects**: Check caller sites and downstream dependencies that might be affected by proposed edits.
