# Systematic Debugging

## Goal
Identify and fix software defects through evidence-based investigation rather than guess-and-check edits.

## Workflow
```text
Reproduce → Read Full Logs → Form Hypotheses → Collect Evidence → Identify Root Cause → Minimal Fix → Verify
```

## Rules
1. **Never Patch Symptoms**: Do not swallow exceptions, return dummy data, or comment out failing assertions.
2. **Inspect Full Error Logs**: Always read the un-truncated stack trace before diagnosing.
3. **Isolate Root Cause**: Identify why the contract was broken in the underlying data provider or flow.
4. **Verify Fix**: Re-run failing tests or commands to prove clean resolution.
